About

A resume builder with one rule.

Nothing goes on your resume that your own history cannot back up. Everything else about AI-Resume follows from that.

Why it exists

AI made it easy to produce a resume and hard to trust one. Ask a general-purpose model to make your resume stronger and it will — by adding a percentage you never measured, a skill you never used, a scope you never had. It does not know it is doing it. You find out in an interview, when someone asks you to walk them through the 47%.

We think the useful version of AI for resumes is narrower and more honest: it should help you say what you have actually done, in the words the job is looking for, and it should show its work every time.

How that rule shows up in the product

  • Your career is stored as facts, each with a source. Resumes are built from those facts, which is why building one costs no AI at all.
  • Changes are proposals. Tailoring hands you a list — “7 changes” — that you read and accept one at a time. Every accepted change undoes in one step.
  • Prose a model writes is checked. Every number, employer, title and date it introduces must trace to your resume or a fact you confirmed. Anything that does not is flagged for you instead of being added.
  • The score is not AI. It is 26 deterministic checks, so the same resume always gets the same number, and every point lost comes with a reason.
  • Your PDF is tested. We read every export back the way an applicant tracking system does before you send it.

What the rule costs us

Honesty is a worse demo. A tool that rewrites your whole resume into confident, number-studded prose looks more impressive in the first ten seconds than one that says “here are six small changes, and here is the term we could not find in your history”. We are betting that the second is what you want the night before an interview.

It also means saying no to features. We will not write a skill onto your resume because a posting asked for it, we will not round your numbers up, and we will not promise you an interview — no one can, and a tool that does is telling you the first untrue thing on the page.

How it makes money

Most of AI-Resume runs on our own code, which is cheap to operate, so most of it is free and stays free. AI is used only where a model genuinely helps — reading a job posting, writing a summary, an edit you ask for — and that is the part a one-time Job Hunt Pass pays for. There is no subscription, no advertising, and your resume is never sold, shared, or used to train a model.
