Terms of service

1. Who you are agreeing with

AI-Resume is operated by Manish Singh, an individual in India(“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

2. What the service is

AI-Resume is a tool for writing, tailoring and exporting resumes, with optional help from an AI model. It keeps a record of facts about your career and uses them to suggest changes, which you review and accept or reject.

It is a drafting tool, not a career service. We are not a recruiter, an employment agency or an adviser, and we give no advice about immigration, employment law or anything else.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 to hold an account, and at least 18 to buy a pass. One person, one account; keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. Everything done through your account is treated as done by you.

4. Your content stays yours

You keep all rights in what you put into AI-Resume and in the resumes you produce with it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, to display it back to you, and to send the relevant parts to the AI provider when you ask for writing help. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for backups already taken, which cycle out in the ordinary course.

We claim no ownership of your resume and we will not publish it anywhere.

5. What you are responsible for

You agree that you will:

• enter information about yourself, truthfully, and not impersonate anyone else;
• not upload another person's personal data — a colleague's resume, a reference letter, a contact list — without their permission;
• not use the service to produce misleading credentials, fake qualifications or fraudulent employment history;
• not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service: no scraping, no automated bulk requests, no bypassing rate limits or quotas, no reselling access, and no attempt to extract our prompts or source code through the assistant;
• not upload malware, or anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where we can, we will warn you first; where the abuse is costing us money or risking other users, we may act immediately.

6. About the AI, plainly

AI models make mistakes. They can produce text that is wrong, awkward, or that overstates what you did. AI-Resume is built to reduce that — suggestions are checked against facts you have confirmed, every change is proposed for your approval rather than applied silently, and anything we cannot trace to a fact is flagged to you — but no check catches everything.

You are responsible for the final content of your resume, including the accuracy of every claim in it. Read what the assistant proposes before you accept it, and before you send the resume to anybody. We are not liable for the consequences of a statement in your resume, however it got there.

Identical requests will not always give identical results, and a suggestion is not a promise that a particular employer, applicant tracking system or recruiter will react in any particular way. Our ATS score is our own estimate from public guidance, not a reading of any employer's actual system.

7. Free use, passes and payment

A free account includes the full editor, PDF export and 10 AI actions each day. A Job Hunt Pass is a single payment that raises that to 200 AI actions a day for a fixed period — 30 or 90 days.

• Nothing renews. A pass expires on its own and there is no subscription to cancel. Buying another pass while one is active adds the days to the end.
• Daily limits are fair-use. They exist because every AI action costs us money. They are not a promise of a particular number of words or requests, and we may adjust them, with notice for anything that reduces what you have paid for.
• Payment and tax. Payments are taken by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Their terms cover the transaction itself, and prices are in US dollars unless shown otherwise. Taxes are handled at checkout.
• Refunds are described on the refund page, which forms part of these terms. In short: within 7 days, if the pass is substantially unused.

8. Availability

We will try to keep AI-Resume available and working, but it is run by one person on third-party infrastructure. There is no uptime guarantee. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may take the service down for maintenance. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your resumes first.

9. Closing your account

You can stop using AI-Resume at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@ai-resume.dev. Export anything you want to keep first, because deletion is permanent. If we close your account for a breach of section 5, any unused pass time is forfeit.

10. No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties that are not written down here, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost earnings, a job you did not get, an interview you did not receive, or for any indirect or consequential loss. For everything else, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and for anything that materially affects you we will email the address on your account. If you keep using AI-Resume after a change, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, close your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
