Product manager resume example

Product management is judged on outcomes, and a PM resume should read like a record of them: what you shipped, the metric it moved, and how you decided. Recruiters search for roadmap, experimentation, SQL and domain keywords; hiring managers look for ownership and judgment.

Why this product manager resume works

The summary

Product manager with seven years in B2B SaaS, most recently owning the billing product used by 22,000 businesses. Runs a weekly A/B testing and customer research practice, and turns it into a roadmap engineering and sales can plan against.

One product, one number of customers, and two practices — experimentation and research — named in the posting’s own words.

Bullets, before and after

The same work, described first the way most resumes do it, then the way this one does.

Before

Managed the billing roadmap.

After

Owned the product roadmap for billing, growing self-serve revenue by 31% in 2025 across 22,000 businesses.

“Owned” plus the revenue result turns a responsibility into an outcome.

Before

Did A/B tests on checkout.

After

Led 24 A/B testing experiments on checkout, raising trial-to-paid conversion from 9% to 13%.

Volume and a before-and-after rate show a practice, not a one-off.

Before

Worked with sales and finance on pricing.

After

Launched usage-based pricing with sales and finance, moving 40% of accounts to the new plans in two quarters.

Cross-functional work, shown by its result instead of claimed as “strong stakeholder management”.

What the scorer would still say

Even a strong resume gets notes. These are the scorer’s own, unedited.

  • 1 preferred keyword missing. Stakeholder management does not appear anywhere on the resume. Add only what is true of you — a keyword you cannot back up fails the interview instead of the filter.

Questions

How do I show impact as a product manager when engineers built it?

Claim what you did — decided, prioritized, ran the experiment, defined the requirements — and the outcome the team achieved. “Launched usage-based pricing with sales and finance” credits the team and states your role.

Should a PM resume include technical skills?

Include the ones you use: SQL and an analytics tool are common requirements. Do not list languages you could not write today.
